On a Journey to Create Inspiring Landscapes:
Let's Work Together!

Hello
Hello, my name is Amber, a creative and detail-oriented Landscape Design professional with 4+ years of experience in design, project management, and coordination. I am seeking a landscape designer or internship position with a landscape architecture firm to further develop expertise and contribute to innovative projects.

I have previous experience working under a landscape architect in an educational setting, where I served as a teaching assistant for an irrigation course. As well as working as a landscape designer with Michael O’Leary Landscape Architecture + Associates in the Bay Area.

I earned an Associates in Landscape Architecture & Construction along with my Landscape Design and Construction Specialist from an accredited landscape architecture program. My program provided me with a strong foundation in designing outdoor spaces that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. I have also previously earned my Bachelors of Arts in Anthropology.
During my studies, I honed my skills in hand-drawing, Vectorworks, Sketchup, and project management. I learned about sustainable design principles, the design process, proper plant selection, plant identification and site analysis. I completed several plant identification courses such as Shrubs, Trees, Native Fall Plants and also an Arboriculture course.

Adept at client communication, project management, and delivering tailored solutions that meet both aesthetic and functional needs. Extensive hands-on experience installing and maintaining irrigation systems, and plant care ensures expert execution of every project. Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Vectorworks for visually engaging presentations and leveraging deep plant knowledge to offer insights beyond standard resources.
Currently expanding skills in AutoCAD and seeking opportunities to apply design knowledge and hands-on design experience in creative, sustainable landscape projects and to gain enough experience to become a licensed Landscape Architect.
As a Latina woman, I try to honor my Mexican roots in all that I do. In my free time you can find me volunteering at the shelter, advocating for shelter dogs or find me camping in the woods on the weekends.
